Controlling the Deer Population in South Mountain Reservation
Essex County, New Jersey (where my town, West Orange, is located) is struggling with an overabundance of deer. Recently, a woman who opposed the County Executive's plans to hold a hunt made a bunch of claims. I did a lot of research that shows that they're off-base, so I explain why.
eTexts
Since I hate to read plain text, I am slowly publishing a number of documents — mostly church-related — in HTML and PDF formats.
Philosophy
I am interested in philosophy and epistemology. Very little of that is apparent from this Web site; however, I do have some links stemming from a discussion about solipsism, a discussion of the Trinity, and a none-too-well-organized exposition on my reasoning behind my belief in the soul. A few of my eTexts are related to philosophy as well.
Music Composition
This is something I do to relax. It hasn’t produced much, and what it has produced isn’t all that special, but what the heck... I have a Web site and I should use it, right? You can listen to my compositions here.
Professional
If I work with you and have sent you to this site for a download, whatever you need should be here.
I am VP of Corporate Marketing for a leading business intelligence and reporting vendor, Information Builders. This includes our subsidiary iWay Software, which provides integration middleware and service-oriented architecture software. I’ve been published and quoted (mostly quoted) in a variety of IT venues, including eBizQ (published online), .NET Magazine (published), Signal (AFCEA’s magazine, extensively quoted), Business Integration Journal (published), and datawarehouse.com (extensively quoted as part of an "online panel"). Not that any of these are a big deal, of course — it’s my job, after all — but if I link to them I’ll probably slightly increase my Google rankings. :)
I also built the Web site for Keilty’s Travels, which chronicles the ongoing trip around the world being taken by my friends Jen and Matt Keilty. This isn’t a professional gig, and I’ve since given up maintenance of the project, but the content they’ve provided has been outstanding.
